This week I had the opportunity to present at a local school’s career day again, and it makes me think of the way Australian families do (or don’t) engage with their own finances – their goals, the strategy they could map, or whether they realise what options they have in front of them. Like it or not, money impacts us all in life. I find it fascinating to interview the groups and be interviewed by them. I always like to ask if the children think money makes you happy…email me your guess of the rough percentage response, and I’ll let you know. If you’re interested in how to start a productive conversation with your own children, just ask us.
I’ve also been asked to join the local 4556 Chamber of Commerce’s Committee. I find it to be a warm, welcoming and authentic group, who are deeply interested in supporting and growing local businesses, which is firmly in ACru Wealth’s wheelhouse.

It’s been a difficult year for the global economy. As you can see in the heatmap below, GDP growth weakened in 2023, particularly in Europe and emerging markets...
