Budget Wrap-Up: What It Means For You (and Your Wallet)

The Federal Budget has landed, and as always, there's plenty to unpack.

While the headlines scream tax cuts, energy rebates, and healthcare boosts, the big question is - how does it actually impact you?

 - Tax cuts are coming. From July 2026, you could have an extra $50 a week in your pocket. Not life-changing, but enough to cover a good brunch.

 -  Energy rebates extended. If you’ve been enjoying the $300 off your bills, good news - more relief is on the way.

 -  Medicare shake-ups. Bigger rebates for GP visits, more bulk billing, and even cheaper medicine - because no one likes paying full price at the pharmacy.

 -  Housing & small business support. First-home buyers get a leg-up, small businesses get a breather, and there’s a push to get more tradies building homes.

 - Cyclone Alfred disaster relief. If you’ve been impacted, financial support is available - check your eligibility.

But here’s the catch - these are proposals, not guarantees. There’s a lot that needs to be passed through Parliament, so nothing’s set in stone just yet.

And of course, if you’ve got questions about what this means for you, your tax bill, or your future plans—we’re here to help.

Stay informed, stay savvy, and if all else fails, at least the beer tax didn’t go up!
